Coffee used to be “regular.”
Remember the days when coffee was just... coffee? Loose change on the counter, a bottomless diner mug, maybe a powdered creamer if you were feeling fancy. Or those TV moments — you know, where the main character grabs a cup from the neighborhood spot (yeah, like whatever the café in Friends was called).
Then coffee got cool.
Chains popped up everywhere — Starbucks, Dutch Bros, you name it. Suddenly, it wasn’t just a drink. It was a brand. A vibe. A drive-thru experience.
But like all trends, something started to shift again.
People began craving that slower pace. That stop-by-the-shop feeling. At the same time, coffee itself was evolving. Ethically sourced beans. Local roasters. Latte art that made you question your career choices. Third-wave coffee took over, and with it came a deeper appreciation for the craft.
So here’s the question we asked:
What do you do when you want that same feeling — the pause, the ritual, the good coffee — but you’re not near your favorite shop?
Like, say, a Tuesday at home. Or a business trip. Or that weird Airbnb kitchen.
That’s where we come in.
